Despacito A song performed by Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi with Daddy Yankee was released in the year 2017. The song became the number streamed song at that in just six months. It's a blend of pop and reggaeton that not only brought new attention to reggaeton music, but also more interest in Latin music. Billboard's Top 100 featured two songs composed in Spanish most of the time, and four more in 2016. At the peak of Despacito's fame, 19 tracks mainly in Spanish made it to the Billboard Top 100. by 2020 it will be 41 songs from this genre. The release of Justin Bieber's bilingual version of Despacito (2017) the most well-known musicians soon began collaborating on reggaeton tracks, like Drake and Bad Bunny on MIA (2018) and Madonna along with Maluma with Maluma on Medellin (2019). Some reggaeton artists lamented the trend towards popular music by 2020. Yet a new group, Rauw alejandro, was determined to alter the direction of music. The genre often incorporated elements from electronic dance music in addition to other styles.
